About OpenBoot
A clearer starting point for New Zealand new-car research.
OpenBoot brings public New Zealand new-car pricing into one browsable catalogue. It is built for the awkward middle of the buying journey: after you know roughly what you need, but before you have narrowed the shortlist to one badge and one trim.
The catalogue is not a dealer quote and it is not a promise that a vehicle is in stock. It is a comparison layer. Each listed price should be read alongside its source note, date, and the manufacturer or public-market context attached to that record.
What we are trying to make easier
- Compare price bands across brands, body styles, and powertrains.
- Move from a broad price guide to a model range and then an individual variant.
- Understand which numbers are public list prices and which costs still need to be confirmed.
- Find plain-English buying guidance that is connected to the catalogue rather than written in isolation.
